So, I'm shy, and mostly awkward. I'm petrified to send messages to designers, and anyone new for that matter. Unfortunate for the timid ... people cannot read your thoughts. Generally that is a blessing. I'd be in some shit if people could actually hear my thoughts. Especially when I'm out shopping. Sometimes I astonish, even myself with the grit that I think.I digress. I missed the fair that Pink Fuel [PF] had this adorable nose bleeder skin at. I decided it was necessary that I own this skin. I sucked it up and im'd her, and cringed as I waited to be cussed at, or ignored. To my surprise she answered promptly, and kindly. She sold me the skin directly and for only 50L.What a gem. Thank you, Mochi. Some designers scare me... their profiles intimidate me. Just sayin' ... it happens.

Hola and happy Cinco de Mayo

I don’t know if it is the lack of caffeine, the Taken by Trees album on repeat, or the PMS I feel coming on, but I was feeling ultra femme today. Luckily this gave me inspiration to finally wear this adorable {SMS} dress that I’ve had stowed away in my wardrobe for a few weeks. I adore Irie’s designs. You can do so much with them. Since I’m frothing about faves you’ll notice those Surf Co. Shack Shorts under the dress. These shorts are a staple. I promise I could wear them every day. I’m seeing them everywhere, so I know I’m not alone in that thought. I really envy the talent that so many of the SL creators/designers possess. The extent of my talent is right click and buy, and I think I’ll stick to what I’m good at. Happy Tuesday and such. -Ap

Project Themeory wrapup

This weekend's Themeory themey is Fabulous 50s and wowie wow wow these things I lurved. Firstly. The Strumpet skins. Oh. My. Wow. What a pretty face! I am a sucker for crying skins. Girly hearts all over this shit, man. The super cute hair in these pics is from Ploom and comes in both platinum blond (Swedish) and brown (Chocolate... mmmmmm).





I couldn't get the poufy skirt on the 1950 version of the Grandma's Dress from Acid & Mala to look ok on my shape and the 2010 version of the dress is a little... erm... skimpy. I've worn it as a long top because I'm a total prude. Fantabulous texturing as is the norm with them.



My other fave thing from this Themeory weekend is the awesome dress from GATO. I almost didn't get it because I was all "meh..." about the picture in the store. But when I put this sucker on... wow. This is one of those things that I might disregard my 3-hour wardrobe change for. You can also kind of see the necklace from Happy Finds a little better in this picture. I love the simple elegance of it and the perfect curve of the chain.

It's almost summertime! Down in the "durty souf" where I "stay," we're already two weeks or so in to temperatures in the 80s. Spring lasts about 2 weeks here. Sigh.

I love to frolic on the beach all day - getting slightly sunburnt in the afternoon sun and then walking on the piers around sunset trying to avoid getting shat (?) on by the seagulls. Throw in some ice cream or snowcone consuming. Seriously. What a perfect day, man.

Mad mad mad props to Julliette Westerburg who kindly resent the Gidget skin when SL decided to eat it. I don't blame SL, man - Gidget is a super gorgy skin. Thanks Juliette!
